Services

Our mission at Wellness & Lifestyles Australia (W&L) is to improve the quality of elderly people’s lives. We provide onsite, affordable allied health services to facilities and clients across South Australia.

Our services include: Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Diabetes Education, Psychology, Physiotherapy Aides, Diversional Therapy, Massage, Aromatherapy, Natural Therapies, Educational Training, Medicare Billing, Locum Services, Quality Management & Continuous Improvement, Aged Care Funding Instrument Documentation, Staff Wellness & Office Ergonomics Programs.

Our service is unique because we look at health care differently.  The traditional approach to allied health has been to diagnose and then treat often with only a 20 minute session.  W&L’s approach is to involve the family and care givers in the assessment.  This allows for a total care approach and includes training of the care team and education being given on management guidelines for the client e.g. care plans and preventative exercises.  Previously allied health in aged/disability care has been considered an ‘add-on’ for most private practices. W&L have made this their specialty as these clients require specialty knowledge and service.  Another uniqueness to our service is that we are completely mobile.  All W&L services are performed in the comfort of the client’s home or in their aged care facility.

W&L recognised that there was a great need for an allied health provider in South Australia to specialise in aged care and have a complete understanding of how aged care funding works in aged care facilities. Other unique benefits of W&L services include: Clients can reduce the risk of WorkCover liability, employer-employee disputes and litigation, ACFI question downgrades and Commonwealth Government ‘pay back’ by outsourcing allied health therapies. Wellness & Lifestyles Australia (W&L) has developed a documentation system that is sustainable, will facilitate maximum funding within aged care facilities and will stand up to audits. W&L can provide a 52 week service with our team of therapists that are familiar with our systems and can maintain documentation requirements. It also avoids the need to engage an expensive external locum service.

Outsourcing allied health services will allow managerial time to be concentrated on the core business and reduce payroll processing, quality management, interviewing, training and advertising time.  W&L is able to source staff, train staff, provide onsite induction and replace staff through its network of therapists and industry contacts.  W&L has an excellent history of retaining competent staff through therapy management, professional development and training, sharing knowledge, its professional status, its team leaders and a team approach. W&L is a quality endorsed company with SAI Global Limited. We currently perform regular audits, customer feedback surveys and performance appraisals.

W&L is able to provide facilities with the latest information and knowledge from its network of resources including Industry Best Practice concepts from our sites, Australian Therapy Associations and the Gerontology Group.
