Here’s how to get speech pathology treatment without moving a muscle!
Wellness & Lifestyles Australia’s (W&L) head office organises all therapy services, not just speech pathology. With a team of over 80 therapists servicing over 180 sites in South Australia, Northern Territory and Victoria we are well equipped to provide mobile speech pathology to a number of locations. We specialise in aged care but also provide mobile speech pathology to the intellectually disabled, hospitals, community therapy centres and private clients in their homes. Many of our facilities are for culturally diverse groups and we have a number of therapists who are bilingual. In the case that one of our therapists is unable to speak the client’s native language we would organise the home visit with a family member or carer who could act as an interpreter.
Due to the high number of mobile therapists we have on the road, the team of 8 W&L office staff can usually organise a therapist to visit a client within 48 hours. The maximum time taken for a request for W&L mobile speech pathology services in the past 12 months has been 1 week. Referrals come to the office either by email or facsimile using our referral form, or can be phoned in.
All W&L speech pathologists are registered with their associated boards and most are members of their applicable associations. They also have their own public liability and professional indemnity insurance and current valid police checks. This information is provided to you prior to the mobile speech pathology starting.

All therapists, by being members of their associated boards are required to follow the guidelines put forward by different foundations (i.e. the COPD-X Plan, the NHMRC and the National Heart Foundation). W&L also has a number of therapists who have recently completed their Masters Degrees within their professions which allows us to provide our facilities with current up-to-date evidence-based practice with specialist therapists.
